Type specimen: UM 55122, a partial skull (partial cranium with nearly complete upper dentition). Its type locality is Dell Creek Quarry, which is in a Tiffanian terrestrial horizon in the Hoback Formation of Wyoming.
Ecology: amphibious piscivore-durophage
