Type specimen: MPM-Fo1058, a partial skeleton (fragmentary skull with two teeth in situ, right and left periotics and tym- panic bullae, right incus and malleus, four isolated teeth, three possible hyoid bon). Its type locality is Nakaiu, which is in a Burdigalian marine mudstone in the Haze Formation of Japan.
Ecology: aquatic carnivore
Distribution: found only at Nakaiu
