Sister taxon: Nambeetella embolion
Type specimen: UWA 71177, a cephalon/head (cranidium). Its type locality is section RM 10, 477 m, Emanuel Creek, Canning Basin, which is in an Arenig marine horizon in the Emanuel Formation of Australia.
