Sister taxa: Ferganoceratodus jurassicus, Ferganoceratodus martini

Type specimen: NHMZ 2432(9), a partial skull (pterygoid tooth plate separated from the pterygoid). Its type locality is The Dentist / Coprolite Hill, which is in a Carnian crevasse splay mudstone in the Pebbly Arkose Formation of Zimbabwe.

Ecology:

Distribution: found only at The Dentist / Coprolite Hill
