Type specimen: MGP-PD 31434 / MFB IG23682. Its type locality is Pesciara di Bolca, Monte Bolca (Padova MGP-PD collection), which is in a Ypresian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal limestone in the Pesciara Formation of Italy.
