Sister taxa: Pareumys boskeyi, Pareumys grangeri, Pareumys guensburgi, Pareumys muffleri, Pareumys troxelli

Type specimen: C. M. No. 2938, a mandible (lower jaw fragment with M2 and M3 in position). Its type locality is Myton Pocket, which is in an Uintan terrestrial horizon in the Uinta Formation of Utah.

Ecology: ground dwelling herbivore

Distribution:

• Eocene of United States (4: California, Utah collections)

Total: 4 collections each including a single occurrence
