Type specimen: AMNH FI 162955, a calyx. Its type locality is Shale Bank quarry, Mohonk Mountain House, which is in a Katian offshore sandstone in the Martinsburg Formation of New York.
Ecology: stationary intermediate-level epifaunal suspension feeder
Distribution: found only at Shale Bank quarry, Mohonk Mountain House
