Type specimen: BSPG 1980X1030a, b, a skeleton (part and counterpart of complete skeleton, with otolith in situ). Its type locality is Karalar Koyu, which is in a Miocene lacustrine - large lime mudstone in Türkiye.
Ecology: planktonic suspension feeder
Distribution: found only at Karalar Koyu
