Sister taxa: Liodontia alexandrae, Liodontia bathypotamos, Liodontia furlongi

Type specimen: UCMP 61716, a skull (a complete skull with R and L I1–M3, crushed and sheared taphonomically). Its type locality is Massacre Lake RV-6161, which is in a Hemingfordian terrestrial horizon in Nevada.

Ecology: fossorial herbivore

Distribution:
