Type specimen: MHN-UABCS-Sg6/71/208, a partial skull (slightly fragmented cranium and mandibles). Its type locality is Mount “Pilón”, which is in a Chattian marine shale in the San Gregorio Formation of Mexico.

Distribution: found only at Mount “Pilón”
