Belongs to Lonchocephalus according to P. Tasch 1951

Sister taxa: Lonchocephalus chippewaensis, Ptychoparia (Lonchocephalus) wisconsensis

Type specimen: USNM 115610, a cephalon/head (cranidium). Its type locality is Highway No. 322 near Waddle, Bed 11.12, which is in a Merioneth shallow subtidal limestone in the Warrior Formation of Pennsylvania.

Ecology: fast-moving low-level epifaunal carnivore

Distribution:

• Cambrian of United States (5: Pennsylvania collections)

Total: 5 collections each including a single occurrence
