Sister taxa: Elcanodentes alatus, Elcanodentes cretaceus

Type specimen: GPIH 7018, an exoskeleton. Its type locality is Burmese amber, Kachin amber (GPIH coll), which is in a Cenomanian terrestrial amber in Myanmar.

Ecology: fast-moving ground dwelling herbivore

Distribution: found only at Burmese amber, Kachin amber (GPIH coll)
