Sister taxa: Fasciculodonta fengyiensis, Fasciculodonta impressa
Type specimen: NIGP203591, a shell. Its type locality is 22YDX-03 Heshanding Hill, Xiangyang village, Hsiangyang type section, which is in a Darriwilian marine siltstone/mudstone in the Hsiangyang Formation of China.
