Type specimen: LACM (CIT) 450/4033, a partial skeleton (a skull (with R. I3, C/, P1-2, roots of P3-4, M2-3. L. I1-3, C/ P1, roots of P2-4, M1, M2-3) an incomplete left ramus (with a root of p2, p3-4, roots of m1, m2-). Its type locality is Alvord Mountain (USGS D301), which is in a Barstovian terrestrial horizon in the Barstow Formation of California.

Ecology: ground dwelling browser-browser

Distribution: found only at Alvord Mountain (USGS D301)
