Type specimen: C M-14066A & B/1. Its type locality is Bolitho Mudstone, Inangahua Outlier, Reefton area, New Zealand, which is in an Emsian marine mudstone/lime mudstone in the Bolitho Mudstone Formation of New Zealand.
