Sister taxon: Alibashinautilus vetus
Type specimen: MfN MB.C.32055, a shell. Its type locality is Ali Bashi 4, -1.50 m, which is in a Changhsingian carbonate limestone in the Ali Bashi Formation of Iran.
Ecology: nektobenthic carnivore
Average measurements (in mm): shell diameter 120.3
Distribution: found only at Ali Bashi 4, -1.50 m
