Sister taxon: Julfanautilus ashourii
Type specimen: MfN MB.C.32096, a shell. Its type locality is Ali Bashi 4, Vedioceras beds, which is in a Wuchiapingian carbonate limestone in the Julfa Formation of Iran.
Ecology: nektobenthic carnivore
Average measurements (in mm): shell diameter 83.2
Distribution: found only at Ali Bashi 4, Vedioceras beds
