Type specimen: IVPP V11486, a dermal scale. Its type locality is PCR-16, Plover Cove Reservoir, which is in a Devonian/Devonian deltaic siliciclastic in the Bluff Head Formation of Hong Kong.

Distribution: found only at PCR-16, Plover Cove Reservoir
