Sister taxa: Pison antiquum, Pison cockerellae, Pison electrum, Pison eocenicum, Pison glyptum, Pison oligocaenum, Pison oligocenum
Type specimen: MACT-1110, an exoskeleton (forewing). Its type locality is Dominican amber (Morone Amber Collection), which is in a Burdigalian/Langhian terrestrial amber in the Dominican Republic.
Ecology:
Distribution: found only at Dominican amber (Morone Amber Collection)
