Sister taxa: Cadulus (Gadila) gadus, Cadulus (Gadila) phenax, Gadila aberrans, Gadila gracilina, Gadila mucronatus
Type specimen: USNM 441875, a shell. Its type locality is IPS 443, Seymour Island, which is in a Lutetian coastal sandstone in the La Meseta Formation of Antarctica.
Ecology: slow-moving shallow infaunal deposit feeder
Distribution:
• Eocene of Antarctica (4 collections)
Total: 4 collections each including a single occurrence
