Sister taxon: Thyrsitoides zarathoustrae
Type specimen: IGVR 82445. Its type locality is Monte Solane Fish Bed, which is in a Ypresian marine limestone in the Chiusole Formation of Italy.
Ecology: planktonic suspension feeder
Distribution: found only at Monte Solane Fish Bed
