Sister taxa: Simidectes magnus, Simidectes medius, Simidectes merriami
Type specimen: SDSNH 55218, a mandible (right dentary with p4-m3). Its type locality is Silver Country Estates Site 4 (SDSNH 3894), which is in an Uintan terrestrial horizon in the Friars Formation of California.
Ecology: scansorial carnivore
Distribution: found only at Silver Country Estates Site 4 (SDSNH 3894)
