Type specimen: YPM IP 454403, an exoskeleton (body). Its type locality is Gus' Pit, west of Rio Blanco store, which is in a Ypresian lacustrine - large mudstone in the Green River Formation of Colorado.

Distribution: found only at Gus' Pit, west of Rio Blanco store
