Sister taxon: Protorepomys mckayensis
Type specimen: UOMNH 25591, a tooth (left m1). Its type locality is Bartlett Mountain (UO 2517), which is in a Hemphillian terrestrial horizon in the Drewsey Formation of Oregon.
Ecology: ground dwelling herbivore
Distribution: found only at Bartlett Mountain (UO 2517)
