Type specimen: NHMW 1975/1712/1, a mandible (sin. with i1, m1-m3). Its type locality is Zapfe's fissures, which is in a MN 6 fissure fill horizon in Slovakia.

Ecology: ground dwelling omnivore

Distribution:

• Miocene of Austria (2 collections), Germany (6), Hungary (1), Poland (1), Slovakia (2)
