Type specimen: UCMP. Its type locality is American Canyon (UCMP/Stanford), which is in a Triassic marine limestone in the Prida Formation of Nevada.
Ecology: nektonic carnivore
Distribution: found only at American Canyon (UCMP/Stanford)
