Type specimen: NMB Al. 274, Switzerland, a tooth (M1 sup. sin.). Its type locality is Anwil, Baselland, which is in a MN 7 + 8 fluvial-lacustrine horizon in Switzerland.

• Miocene of Germany (9 collections), Hungary (1), Romania (1), Serbia and Montenegro (1), Spain (6), Switzerland (5)
