  • Ornithosuchus woodwardi: NHMUK PV R2409–2410, a skeleton. Its type locality is Spynie main quarry (quarry 3), near Elgin, which is in a Carnian/Norian dune sandstone in the Lossiemouth Sandstone Formation of the United Kingdom.
  • Ornithosuchus taylori: BMNH R3142, R3143, a partial skeleton. Its type locality is Lossiemouth West & East Quarries, Elgin, which is in a Carnian/Norian dune sandstone/sandstone in the Lossiemouth Sandstone Formation of the United Kingdom.
