Type specimen: SAM 3014, a partial skeleton. Its type locality is Sphenosuchus type, Paballong, which is in a Hettangian/Sinemurian terrestrial sandstone/mudstone in the Elliot Formation of South Africa.
Ecology: carnivore
Distribution: found only at Sphenosuchus type, Paballong
