Type specimen: SMNS 6014, a partial skeleton (a partial skull and part of the skeleton including several vertebrae, partial pectoral girdle and forelimb, partial ilium, ischium, and most of the hindlimb ele). Its type locality is Bl. 7220, Erlenberg, which is in a Rhaetian terrestrial marl in the Trossingen Formation of Germany.

Distribution: found only at Bl. 7220, Erlenberg
