Sister taxon: Eodiscoglossus santonjae

Type specimen: BMNH R.11700, a limb element (right ilium). Its type locality is Kirtlington 3p (Mammal Bed), which is in a Bathonian mire/swamp marl in the Forest Marble Formation of the United Kingdom.

Ecology: amphibious carnivore

Distribution: found only at Kirtlington 3p (Mammal Bed)
