Sister taxa: Dictyopteridium feistmantelii, Dictyopteridium sporiferum

Type specimen: N-Lk 424 (PM 005a) and counterpart N-Lk 360 (PB 005b). Its type locality is Loskop, which is in a Changhsingian delta plain shale in South Africa.

Ecology: "photoautotroph"

Distribution: found only at Loskop
