Type specimen: MCZ 8784, an other (nearly complete frontoparietal bone). Its type locality is Headon Hill HH2, Lower Headon Beds, Isle of Wight, which is in an Eocene marine claystone/claystone in the Lower Headon Beds Formation of the United Kingdom.

Ecology: amphibious carnivore

Distribution: found only at Headon Hill HH2, Lower Headon Beds, Isle of Wight
