Type specimen: MACN A55-1, four upper and lower jaw fragments, a mandible. Its type locality is Barranca south of Lago Colhue-Huapi, Gran Barranca, which is in a Bartonian terrestrial claystone in the Sarmiento Formation of Argentina.

Distribution: found only at Barranca south of Lago Colhue-Huapi, Gran Barranca
