Type specimen: Cenozoic Research Laboratory, Geological Survey of China, a mandible (right lower jaw with the two last molars). Its type locality is Heti Formation F 12, which is in a Sharamurunian terrestrial horizon in the Hedi Formation of China.
Ecology: ground dwelling herbivore
Distribution: found only at Heti Formation F 12
