Type specimen: IVPP V.11120, a set of vertebrae (posterior cervical vertebra). Its type locality is Qiketai, Turpan (Hudiesaurus type locality), which is in a Kimmeridgian/Tithonian terrestrial horizon in the Kalazha Formation of China.

Ecology: ground dwelling herbivore

Distribution: found only at Qiketai, Turpan (Hudiesaurus type locality)
