Type specimen: USNM 460306, a partial skull. Its type locality is Sud-Sacaco West (SAS) horizon, which is in a Messinian foreshore siltstone in the Pisco Formation of Peru.

Distribution: found only at Sud-Sacaco West (SAS) horizon
