Type specimen: USNM 256517, a skull (skull & partial skeleton). Its type locality is Emlong 718, which is in a Rupelian marine siltstone in the Alsea Formation of Oregon.
Ecology: aquatic carnivore
Distribution: found only at Emlong 718
