Type specimen: IVPP V7466, a partial skeleton (partial skull and most of postcranial skeleton). Its type locality is Zhangheotherium type, Jianshangou Valley, which is in a Barremian/Aptian lacustrine shale in the Yixian Formation of China.

Ecology: ground dwelling insectivore

Distribution:

• Cretaceous of China (2 collections)

Total: 2 collections each including a single occurrence
