Sister taxon: Xiangxipus chenxiensis
Type specimen: HV003-1,2. Its type locality is Hongwei tracksite, Jiuquwan mine (HV), which is in a Cretaceous terrestrial sandstone in the Xiaodong Formation of China.
Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore
Distribution: found only at Hongwei tracksite, Jiuquwan mine (HV)
