Sister taxon: Poposaurus langstoni

Type specimen: FMNH UR 357, a set of postcrania (Two dorsal vertebrae, sacrals, one or two caudals, left ilium, proximal left femur, right femur, distal left tibia, partial right tibia). Its type locality is Little Popo Agie River, which is in a Carnian terrestrial horizon in the Popo Agie Formation of Wyoming.

Total: 17 collections each including a single occurrence
