Sister taxa: Paramacellodus marocensis, Paramacellodus oweni, Paramacellodus sinuosus
Type specimen: OMNH 60576, a maxilla. Its type locality is OMNH V1156, which is in an Albian/Cenomanian terrestrial horizon in the Cloverly Formation of Montana.
