Sister taxon: Zalambdalestes grangeri
Type specimen: AMNH 21708, a partial skull. Its type locality is Shabarakh Usu (AMNH loc. 12049), which is in a Campanian eolian sandstone in the Djadokhta Formation of Mongolia.
Ecology: ground dwelling insectivore
