Type specimen: MNHN 1998-13, a partial skeleton. Its type locality is Conteville, Calvados, which is in a Bathonian shallow subtidal limestone in the Calcaires de Caen Formation of France.

Ecology: facultatively mobile ground dwelling carnivore-piscivore

Distribution: found only at Conteville, Calvados
