- Pteronarctos goedertae: LACM 123883, a skull (skull). Its type locality is Jumpoff Joe, which is in a Burdigalian marine siltstone in the Astoria Formation of Oregon.
- Pteronarctos piersoni: LACM 127972. Its type locality is Iron Mountain Bed, which is in a Burdigalian marine sandstone in the Astoria Formation of Oregon.
