Type specimen: MNHN SAS 734, a partial skeleton (skull, mandible, and partial skeleton). Its type locality is Sud Sacaco, Montemar, which is in a Messinian paralic siltstone in the Pisco Formation of Peru.

Ecology: aquatic omnivore

• Miocene of Chile (2 collections), Peru (1)
