Sister taxa: Platyspondylia germanica, Platyspondylia lepta
Type specimen: USTL BRT 1345 (a mid-trunk vertebra). Its type locality is Le Bretou, which is in a Bartonian karst phosphorite in France.
Ecology:
Distribution: found only at Le Bretou
