Type specimen: JZMP-04-117, a skeleton (mostly complete skeleton with incomplete cranium, complete mandibles, most postcrania, fur, and scaly tail). Its type locality is Daohugou (IVPP collection), which is in a Callovian lacustrine - large shale/tuff in the Tiaojishan Formation of China.
Ecology: amphibious carnivore
Distribution: found only at Daohugou (IVPP collection)
