Type specimen: OSU 30415, a shell. Its type locality is Ss-4. Abandoned D&M Coal Co. strip mine. 4.8 kilometers west of Malvern, which is in a Desmoinesian marine shale/limestone in the Allegheny Formation of Ohio.

Ecology: epifaunal detritivore

Distribution:

• Carboniferous of United States (5: Ohio collections)

Total: 5 collections each including a single occurrence
