Type specimen: Geologische-Palaontologische Museum of the Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universitat, a shell. Its type locality is Grube Grottenberg, near Brilon, which is in a Givetian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal grainstone/wackestone in the Brilon Massenkalk Formation of Germany.

Ecology: facultatively mobile epifaunal suspension feeder

Distribution: found only at Grube Grottenberg, near Brilon
